Description
“SUKA” EMBROIDERY VEST
During the Korean War, U.S. soldiers stationed in Japan sought embroidery services from local shops, taking advantage of favorable exchange rates. This led to a boom in the “Sukajan” (souvenir jacket) culture, with vests, local-made patches, and embroidered items becoming highly popular among American soldiers.
I would size down on the vest of you don’t want to wear it over your jacket!
