Description
COAT, PARACHUTE JUMPER “BUZZ RICKSON MFG. CO.”
The parachute coats are classic and hard to find original jackets. The standard military uniform is typically No.7 olive drab, but this coat uses No.2 light olive drab. The four cargo pockets with flaps on the front are roomy and all have gussets and pleats. They are designed so that they can expand even when a lot of gear are stowed in them, allowing for a certain degree of capacity. The chest pockets are angled to make it easier to take things in and out. Also, the cutouts on the flap are designed to allow for a pen holder and a grenade handle. In the center of the collar, there is a 7-inch storage space that can be opened and closed from both sides. This detail is used to store a switchblade pocketknife to cut the parachute strings in case the parachute becomes entangledthe paratrooper is stuck hanging in midair. The center of the back and both shoulders are equipped with action pleats that ensure sufficient mobility, making it a very detailed specification.
