Description
The CWU-9/P, a quilted type with padding, is a rare liner jacket, which was adopted in the early 1960s as a liner for the CWU-7/P. Although intended to be used as a liner, it can also be worn on its own due to the dual construction of the zipper and snap buttons on the front. Originally, there was only a chest pocket, but a patch pocket was added later for more functionality. This jacket is the lightest of those classified as flight jackets and has a wide range of use as both inner and outerwear, as it also offers a moderate degree of warmth.
