Based on vintage designs,
we have adapted them so that they can be used on bicycles.
We happened to find a vintage newspaper bag with rare patch pockets that had a cool vibe, so we decided to recreate it and make our own original design. Since we were going to make it anyway, we wanted it to be usable when riding a bicycle, so we modernized various details.
The material is 19oz. 100% cotton canvas fabric. To recreate the aged vintage feel, we applied a used finish to achieve a smooth, rounded red color. While printing on red canvas was quite challenging, we adjusted the ink volume multiple times through trial and error to replicate the vintage texture.
Considering both daily use and cycling, the strap has been uniquely designed as an adjustable strap for a newsprint bag. We created an adjustable buckle specifically for the approximately 6.5cm-wide, thick strap to ensure it fits comfortably on the body.
Since the original vintage bag featured a rare patch pocket, we reproduced it and sized it to neatly accommodate a water bottle.
