Description
These Pendleton blankets are robe size, which is the size preferred by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes and wrapping about oneself as a robe. These blankets fit perfectly over a double bed, can be used for wall hangings or just for cuddling up on the sofa.
The first in our Preservation Series, this blanket is expertly dyed, woven and hand-finished in our American mills. The pattern was inspired by a Navajo serape blanket from the early 1800s. It combines simple striped and terraced design elements with a color scheme suggesting Rio Grande Valley influence. Based on an original weaving in The Durango Collection®, Center of Southwest Studies Collection.
Each blanket generates a donation to the Native American arts, education and health. Please see the “Learn More” tab (above) for more information.
